Foreign teacher busted for meth

Yesterday Newsis published the following report:
Foreign instructor arrested and charged for smuggling drugs via international courier

On September 6, the Cheongju District Prosecutors' Office announced that it had arrested and charged A (34), a British hagwon instructor, for violating the Narcotics Control Act by using an international courier to smuggle methamphetamine on several occasions.

A is suspected of smuggling meth on several occasions such as on July 31, when he had 0.37g sent from the Philippines via international courier, and smoking it at home.

A said during the prosecutor's investigation that, "I took meth that had been given to me on several occasions by my girlfriend in the Philippines."

The prosecutors had earlier been contacted by the airport which discovered drugs in the international courier shipment sent to A, and after disguising themselves as courier employees and confirming that shipment was A's, arrested and investigated him.
This is the first reported drug bust of a foreign teacher in two months. For some reason, Newsis is the only media outlet that has reported this. Perhaps the Korean media is distracted by something else?
