Thanks that was great. I found two things really interesting:
1) Percentage of "escapees" returning.
2) That North Koreans feel a purpose, but South Koreans feel lost and just aim at materialism.

That lecture gives a good overview of the book "The Cleanest Race: How North Koreans See Themselves and Why It Matters", which is an excellent read. But there's lots more in the book worth reading, plus some very nice illustrations of NK propaganda.
