Seongsu Bridge on October 21, 1994, which killed 32 people.
The collapse of the
Sampoong Department Store on June 29, 1995, which killed
501 people.
The arson and
collapse of Namdaemun on February 11, 2008, which killed no one.
(and
not everything was destroyed...)
It's interesting how the destruction of a symbol can stir up the same emotions as catastrophes that leave dead and injured in their wake.
