That like the writer of the JoongAng Daily story, you're too clueless to recognize that pop-cultural representations of sexuality shape attitudes towards sex far more than sex-ed classes in schools? The article hardly mentions the role of the mass media and its influence on sexual mores-- only until the very end, and only in reference to the narrow issue of "sexual violence." And why would it? The JoongAng Daily, like its Korean-language sister publication, is a mainstream champion of neoliberal-style capitalist values, and is thereby complicit in an economic regime which, among other things, regularly promotes the commodification and objectification of female bodies. In other words, if there's any "problem," the JoongAng Daily itself is definitely part of it!King Baeksuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15106210206814275410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12946845.post-22520985941833924592009-12-08T10:03:27.872+09:002009-12-08T10:03:27.872+09:00That comment alone, is proof that there's a pr...That comment alone, is proof that there's a problem.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12946845.post-27580831196284470042009-12-07T20:29:37.020+09:002009-12-07T20:29:37.020+09:00No need for "reactive" sex-ed policies f...No need for "reactive" sex-ed policies from local schools and officials -- young Koreans already get their sex education from Wonder Girls, Girls' Generation and Lee Whorish videos!King Baeksuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15106210206814275410noreply@blogger.com
