It's a semi-autobiographical account of his time as an American volunteer ambulance driver in that area, his desertion and escape by boat to Switzerland.Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05477169224986077718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12946845.post-24002692608940335232009-11-12T22:45:42.387+09:002009-11-12T22:45:42.387+09:00They both look great in the wedding photo! They both look great in the wedding photo!Helenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16877130571210618365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12946845.post-10118940593148932612009-11-12T18:42:32.156+09:002009-11-12T18:42:32.156+09:00Hi, you suggested in an earlier post that Remembra...Hi, you suggested in an earlier post that Remembrance Day was only for those who died in WWI and after and I was sure that was wrong. This is from today's Globe and Mail and is from a ceremony at "The Cenotaph" in Ottawa:

Thousands of Canadians gathered in the bright sun around the cenotaph at the centre of Ottawa. The monument was first unveiled by King George VI in 1939 to commemorate Canada's response to the First World War. References to the Second World War and the Korean War weren't added until 1982, expanding the cenotaph's meaning to include all those who served Canada in times of war.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/governor-general-embraces-military-uniform/article1360150/Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05477169224986077718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12946845.post-37009264290540152009-11-12T05:45:06.726+09:002009-11-12T05:45:06.726+09:00peace, dude.peace, dude.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
